SILJA Á.HANSEN
I am a 23-year-old from the Faroe Islands, now living in lovely Aarhus. Ever since I figured out how to hold a pencil, I’ve been passionate about creativity, and that passion keeps growing every day.
I’m currently studying Multimedia Design at Business Academy Aarhus, specializing in content creation. I love developing fresh ideas and bringing them to life, whether through design, digital media, or interactive projects.
With a mix of curiosity and a hands-on approach, I’m always excited to explore new tools and technologies to make creative solutions that stand out.

My love for spontaneity and adventure keeps me excited about new experiences and challenges. I embrace stepping out of my comfort zone as a way to grow and fuel my creativity. I’m always eager to learn and explore, I find joy in both professional projects and life’s simple moments.
Enjoying all the small moments in life has a huge value to me. I have a deep passion for travel and the opportunity to immerse myself in the diverse cultures and experiences the world has to offer. This constant exposure to new environments is a wellspring of inspiration for me. I thrive on the thrill of trying new things and challenging myself to develop new skills every day. Stepping outside of my comfort zone has always been essential to my personal growth.
Living life to the fullest is something I actively pursue. I seize every opportunity that comes my way—whether it’s saying yes to a fishing trip even if I’m afraid of the open sea, or agreeing to step on a stage in front of 30,000 people despite my stage-fright. While I’m always eager to challenge myself and take risks, what holds the most value to me are the connections I share with my family and friends. Their support and presence in my life are something I am deeply grateful for, and they continue to inspire me in everything I do.

WORK EXPERIENCES
As an unskilled care assistant at Rosenvang Nursing Home, I enjoy working with people and being part of a supportive team. This role allows me to make a positive impact on residents’ lives while fulfilling my passion for social interaction and teamwork.
I work as a bartender at Tokio Bar on weekends. I enjoy the music and love that I get to work while listening to one of my favorite genres, rock ‘n’ roll. Yayy!
When I travel back to the Faroe Islands, I also work at an elderly home. This role allows me to continue my passion for working with people, providing care and support while reconnecting with my roots.
After finishing high school, i started my first full-time job as a kindergarten assistant. The job leveraged creativity to develop interactive activities that enhance learning and play. I developed strong communication and problem-solving skills while working in a team-oriented setting.
I previously worked as an entry-level machine operator at the fish factory Pelagic, where I handled 12-hour shifts daily. I enjoyed the significant responsibility and the challenges that came with the role. This was a seasonal job, which usually occured inbetween July/August – December/January.
During my high school years, I worked as a part-time retail worker at the faroese grocery chain, Mylnan.
My mother has been a booked freelance facepainter to different events, like festivals and different kinds of childrens parties, etc. for as long as i can remember. At the age of 11, I joined her, and started painting faces in different festival booths, and still do to this day.
EDUCATION
In autumn 2023, I started studying Multimedia Design at Business Academy Aarhus. I’m passionate about this program, as it fuels my creativity and drive to learn in the world of digital design.
I completed my gymnasial education (STX) at Glasir, a high school in the Faroe Islands, where I studied English, Danish, Faroese, and Spanish at A-level.
